Ruth Gordon’s heartwarming autobiographical drawing-room comedy 'Years Ago' completed a celebrated original Broadway premiere run at the Mansfield Theatre in 1946, running for an astonishing 206 performances. The fast-paced naturalistic narrative unfolds inside a quiet provincial home in Wollaston, Massachusetts in 1910, tracking a fiercely independent teenage girl who orchestrates a brave campaign to break her father's conventional domestic metrics to conquer her dreams as an actress. This historic printing showcases the line-drawn illustrative art of iconic artist Don Freeman.
