Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur, and Ken Ludwig’s 'Twentieth Century' received a spectacular, multi-Tony-nominated Broadway revival at the American Airlines Theatre in 2004 under the auspices of the Roundabout Theatre Company, running for a successful 143 performances. The breathless screwball comedic farce unfolds entirely inside the luxurious observation cars of a speeding train streamliner, tracking an unprincipled producer who deploys farcical deceptions to sign a glamorous Hollywood diva. Directed by Walter Bobbie, it starred Alec Baldwin and Anne Heche.
