Neil Cuthbert’s highly ambitious farcical comedy 'The Soft Touch' infamously collapsed under intense creative fractures and closed during its out-of-town pre-Broadway tryout engagement at Boston's historic Wilbur Theatre in 1975, never reaching its planned New York premiere. The breathless farcical plot unfolds entirely inside a chaotic, ramshackle boarding house room, tracking an eccentric young man whose stable living metrics enter a frantic panic when a circle of lunatics hijack his space. This specialized printing marks the first time this rare historical layout was ever struck, executed on premium heavy matte paper in 2019.
