Sting, John Logan, and Brian Yorkey’s 'The Last Ship' arrived at the Neil Simon Theatre in 2014, capturing multiple major Tony Award nominations and bringing an emotionally massive, musically rich anthem to working-class endurance to the Broadway stage. Set inside a gritty, post-industrial coastal town in northeastern England, the sweeping narrative follows Gideon Fletcher as he returns home after fifteen years to find his childhood sweetheart married and his local shipyard community facing immediate corporate dissolution, rallying the town to rebel.
