Terry Johnson’s sleek stage adaptation of Charles Webb’s novel and the iconic 1967 United Artists cinematic masterpiece 'The Graduate' received a high-profile injection of glamorous, star-powered energy at the Plymouth Theatre when Academy Award nominee Lorraine Bracco stepped into the iconic, corset-bound role of Mrs. Robinson. Set in California during the sweltering sixties, the narrative charts Benjamin Braddock, an aimless, recent college graduate who is aggressively seduced into a scandalous extramarital affair by his father’s partner's cynical wife, collapsing into crisis when he falls in love with her daughter. Starring alongside John Hillner under Johnson's direction, Bracco brought a fierce sophistication to the production.
