Written as a whimsical musical adaptation of George Bernard Shaw's anti-romantic comedy Arms and the Man, the melodic plot unfolds in Bulgaria in 1885, tracking a beautiful young lady who shelters a cynical Swiss mercenary soldier who carries chocolate creams in his ammunition pouch instead of bullets. Staged at the Century Theatre before launching across North America, this production achieved immense profile by starring comedic icon Billy Gilbert alongside Keith Andes.
