Roi Cooper Megrue’s witty drawing-room comedy 'Tea for Three' completed an extensive national touring company production in 1924, bringing the fast-paced romantic calculations and high-society wit of the Broadway flagship directly to major commercial houses across North America. The sophisticated plot centers on an elegant marital triangle, tracking a pathologically jealous husband who mistakenly handles his independent wife's platonic friendship with a charismatic bachelor as an illicit affair, launching an intense series of verbal sparring matches, structural double-crosses, and farcical deceptions over a weekend.
