The monumental outdoor revival production of Wright and Forrest’s 'Song of Norway' returned by popular demand for a second record-shattering summer season at the Jones Beach Marine Theatre in 1959. Driving the epic biographical narrative note-for-note through its sweeping Edvard Grieg classical orchestrations from "Strange Music" to "Midsummer's Eve," the production utilized the massive open-air lagoon setting to provide an unmatched visual spectacle, establishing a permanent milestone benchmark for New York summer entertainment heritage.
