Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller’s musical blockbuster 'Smokey Joe's Cafe' received a spectacular, critically adored Off-Broadway revival production at the Stage 42 arena in 2018, completing an astonishingly successful multi-month commercial residency. Completely discarding traditional linear book templates, the high-octane biographical rock-and-roll jukebox spectacular utilizes a fluid concert framework to piece together note-for-note symphonic arrangements of thirty-nine multi-platinum standards from early rhythm and blues history.
