The historic original 2009 pre-Broadway world premiere out-of-town tryout engagement of Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, and Terrence McNally’s 'Ragtime' opened to massive critical adulation at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Serving as the vital technical incubator that tested the show's grand-scale historical storytelling templates and sweeping symphonic score, this brief road residency allowed director Marcia Milgrom Dodge to refine the blueprints before transferring directly to New York. The original company cast credits showcase the standout performances of Christiane Noll and Quentin Earl Darrington.
