Based on Federico Fellini’s iconic cinematic masterpiece *8½*, the sweeping, entirely through-sung musical mosaic follows Guido Contini, a brilliant, hyper-neurotic Italian film director who faces a catastrophic mid-life creative block and financial ruin, collapsing into a psychological labyrinth as the women in his life—his wife, his mistress, his muse, and his mother—vocalize their demands. Directed and choreographed by Tommy Tune, the legendary original production starred Raul Julia.
