Geoffrey Nauffts’s brilliant contemporary drama 'Next Fall' transferred to the Helen Hayes Theatre in 2010 after a record-shattering Off-Broadway run, running for an accomplished commercial engagement and capturing two major Tony Award nominations including Best Play. The textually rich, deeply moving narrative unfolds inside a sterile Manhattan hospital waiting room, utilizing a series of fluid flashbacks to track the five-year relationship between two gay men—a cynical, neurotic atheist and a younger, deeply religious Christian—whose stable world collapses into a severe psychological and theological crisis following a catastrophic accident.
