Merrily We Roll Along (2019 Off-Broadway Revival)

Stephen Sondheim and George Furth’s 'Merrily We Roll Along' received a magnificent, textually rich Off-Broadway revival staging at the Laura Pels Theatre in 2019 under the banner of the Roundabout Theatre Company and Fiasco Theater. Utilizing an innovative, stripped-back actor-musician framework, the structurally complex, reverse-chronological narrative tracks three lifelong artistic friends as their adult compromises, Hollywood fortunes, and personal betrayals systematically unravel backward across twenty years to expose their idealistic youth.
