Comic luminary Martin Short turned the stage of the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre into an absolute, high-octane funhouse of show business parody in his hit 2006 musical comedy revue 'Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me', running for an accomplished 165 performances. Conceived as a riotous, completely untruthful autobiographical monologue spectacular, the fast-paced plot features Short deploying his trademark manic physical slapstick, celebrity caricatures, and loose improvisations to launch a savage satirical attack on contemporary celebrity obsession. Directed by Scott Wittman with an upbeat score by Marc Shaiman, Short performed alongside an elite ensemble.
