Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in late 2014. Conceived as an opulent, balletic masterpiece inspired by the real life behind Edgar Degas’s iconic, multi-platinum bronze sculpture *Little Dancer Aged Fourteen*, the narrative tracks Marie van Goethem, an impoverished young ballet rat who struggles against structural exploitation to conquer the Paris Opera Ballet. Directed and choreographed with fluid precision by Susan Stroman, it starred Tiler Peck.
