Vintage theater poster from the pre-Broadway tryout of the 1968 musical I’m Solomon at the Morris A. Mechanic Theatre in Baltimore. With a book and lyrics by Anne Croswell and Dan Almagor, music by Ernest Gold, and direction by Michael Benthall, the production starred Dick Shawn in the dual lead roles of King Solomon and Yoni. The production also featured Carmen Matthews, Karen Morrow, and Salome Jens, with a cast of 60. Tailored for theater historians, pre-Broadway tryout collectors, and vintage musical memorabilia enthusiasts, this scarce collectible documents the early developmental stage of a short-lived 1960s Broadway-bound production.
