Based on the celebrated play *Shore Leave*, the cheerful farcical plot unfolds along the sun-drenched docks of Newport, Rhode Island, tracking Loulou, a fiercely independent coffee-shop owner who inherits a multi-million dollar fortune, launching an intricate nautical chase around the world to win the heart of a handsome sailor. Directed by Fields, the tour introduced the standard "Hallelujah!"
