Directed with cinematic scale by Michael Mayer at the St. James Theatre in 2010, the narrative follows three lifelong suburban friends who drift apart—one escaping to the chaotic, drug-fueled urban underground, one stuck at home with an accidental pregnancy, and one deployed to the Iraq War.
