David Belasco’s historic theatrical flagship arena housed the spectacular 75th-anniversary Broadway revival of Clifford Odets’ 'Golden Boy' in 2012 under the banner of Lincoln Center Theater, capturing eight major Tony nominations. The raw, textually rich tragedy follows Joe Bonaparte, a sensitive, exceptionally gifted young violinist who abandons his artistic classical training to enter the brutal world of professional prize-fighting to achieve rapid wealth and commercial celebrity, collapsing into internal crisis as his hands become tools of violence.
