The historic original world premiere pre-Broadway tryout engagement of the newly revised Lerner and Loewe musical 'Gigi' opened at the prestigious John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. in early 2015. Serving as the vital incubator for the grand-scale revival featuring Heidi Thomas’s modernized book script, this out-of-town run allowed director Eric Schaeffer to refine the show's opulent Belle Époque visual palette and symphonic numbers before live audiences before crossing to New York.
