Mark Allen, Ken Davenport, and The Grundles’ 'Gettin' the Band Back Together' arrived at the Belasco Theatre in 2018, bringing a high-energy, rowdy, and nostalgic contemporary musical comedy explosion to the Broadway stage. The lighthearted plot tracks Mitch Papadopoulos, a corporate banker who gets fired on his fortieth birthday and is forced to relocate back to his mother's house in New Jersey, orchestrating a frantic campaign to rescue his childhood home from foreclosure by reuniting his old high school garage rock band to compete in a battle of the bands. Directed by John Rando with choreography by Chris Bailey, the production starred Mitchell Jarvis and Marilu Henner.
