Blending poetry, music, and dance into a single choreopoem format, the fluid plot turns a bare stage into a sacred arena where seven African-American women share raw accounts of childhood trauma, abortion, and the search for unconditional love. Directed by Oz Scott, the historic production starred Shange, Trazana Beverley, and Trezana Meyer.
