Dames at Sea (Broadway 2015)

Jim Wise, George Haimsohn, and Robin Miller’s delightfully witty tap-dancing pastiche musical 'Dames at Sea' received its historic, long-awaited official Broadway theatrical premiere at the Helen Hayes Theatre in 2015. Conceived as an affectionate, hyper-kinetic parody of 1930s Busby Berkeley black-and-white cinematic movie musicals, the lighthearted plot centers on Ruby, a naive young girl fresh off the bus from Utah who steps straight into the chorus of a high-stakes Broadway show, only to have the theater demolished on opening night, forcing the company to stage the spectacular performance aboard a U.S. Navy battleship. Directed and choreographed by Randy Skinner, the cast featured Eloise Kropp and Lesli Margherita.
