Choose options
The 2012 City Center Encores! special jazz revue celebration 'Cotton Club Parade' brought the historic arrangements of Duke Ellington and the legendary sights of the Harlem Renaissance to the New York stage. Conceived as an immersive concert entertainment that discarded traditional book tracking, the production featured a live seventeen-piece jazz orchestra supporting an elite ensemble of tap dancers and vocal powerhouses executing standards like "Stormy Weather." Directed and choreographed under the exact, high-octane blueprints of Warren Carlyle, the short-run production starred Fantasia Barrino and Dulé Hill, subsequently transferring to Broadway as *After Midnight*.
