Bruce Norris’s spectacular, Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning dramatic masterpiece 'Clybourne Park' functions as a fiercely intelligent, razor-sharp spin-off from Lorraine Hansberry's classic *A Raisin in the Sun*. The brilliant, two-act structural narrative examines the volatile minefields of race relations, real estate gentrification, and institutional privilege by unfolding inside the exact same suburban Chicago living room across fifty turbulent years. Act One takes place in 1959 as a white community frantically attempts to block a Black family from purchasing the home, while Act Two shifts to 2009 as a wealthy white couple attempts to gentrify the now-historic Black neighborhood. Staged at the Walter Kerr Theatre, the acclaimed production was directed by Pam MacKinnon.
