Discarding golden-era musical tropes to utilize a minimalist stage, a Greek chorus of masked orphans, and a percussion-heavy acoustic score, the plot unfolds on a winter night as a naive young orphan boy teams up with a disillusioned lounge singer to protect a beautiful secret garden from a corrupt, multi-million dollar capitalist. The historic production starred Keith Charles and Susan Watson.
