Jack Weinstock and Willie Gilbert’s classic 1965 Broadway mystery-comedy play 'Catch Me If You Can' opened to critical raves at the Morosco Theatre. Conceived as a taut, clock-stopping exercise in psychological tension and screwball wit, the plot unfolds inside a remote, snow-shrouded Catskill Mountains cabin where an advertising executive reports his new bride missing, collapsing into farcical panic when an eccentric local priest arrives alongside a beautiful stranger who insists she is the missing wife, gaslighting the husband into a murder trap. Directed by Vincent J. Donehue, the production starred Dan Dailey, Tom Bosley, and Bethel Leslie.
