Kraft’s classic comedy 'Café Crown' infamously closed after just three official performances at the Martin Beck Theatre. Featuring an inventive, melodic score by Albert Hague and a witty book and lyrics by comedy dramatist Marty Brill, the grand-scale production completely musicalized the colorful, late-night world of Second Avenue's Yiddish theater district.
