Neil Simon’s brilliant contemporary romantic comedy masterpiece 'Barefoot in the Park' exploded onto the Broadway stage at the Biltmore Theatre in 1963, running for an astonishing 1,530 performances to establish a high-water mark for American drawing-room comedy history. The fast-paced narrative centers on Corie and Paul Bratter, a mismatched newlywed couple who move into a cramped Manhattan top-floor brownstone apartment, collapsing their stable domestic lifestyle into a hilarious minefield of eccentric neighbor mix-ups. Directed by Mike Nichols, starring replacement cast Ilka Chase, Jules Munshin, Joan Van Ark, and Anthony Roberts.
