International stage icon Sarah Brightman took over the central, emotionally demanding role of Rose Vibert during the acclaimed original Broadway run of Andrew Lloyd Webber, Don Black, and Charles Hart’s through-composed musical romance 'Aspects of Love' at the Broadhurst Theatre in 1991. Spanning seventeen years across France and Italy, the sophisticated narrative tracks a fluid, multi-generational web of romantic passions and jealousies involving Brightman’s Rose, an ambitious actress who captivates a young English soldier, his wealthy uncle, and an artistic Italian mistress. Brightman brought a luminous, operatic vocal brilliance to the complex score, performing alongside Marcus Lovett.
